Advansys Runs the Race for Life

This Sunday 22^nd July, four members of the Advansys team will be running the Race for Life in support of Cancer Research UK. Diane, Lizzie, Ernesta and Zoe have been constantly training for this 5K run which kicks off from Prospect Park, Reading.

With a sponsorship target of £1500, the women have raised an impressive £1191 so far, but there's still plenty of time for people to get involved and support the fight against cancer.

Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the country. Over the past 18 years around 6 million women have participated in this race, making it the UK's biggest fight against cancer. Over £457million have been raised to fund research and the work of doctors and nurses who are dedicated to helping people beat cancer.

This race is one of hundreds which have been happening throughout the country this year. The great thing about the race is that it's not a competition between participants. So no matter what your fitness level is, you can complete the race in your own time, which I'm sure is great news for some members of our team. Running, jogging or walking, they're all steps towards beating cancer.
